Delete your Kinmap account

Kinmap is made by SomeDude. You can delete your account at any time, in the app or by email.

In the app

1. On the home screen, tap Account & keepsakes.
2. If you'd like a copy first, tap Save a keepsake for each tree. You can save the file or send it to a relative.
3. Tap Delete my account. For each tree you own, choose to give it to another member or delete it.
4. Type your email address and tap Delete my account forever.

By email

Write to kinmap@somedude.app from the address you sign in with, and say which trees to give to another member or delete. We'll confirm and finish within 30 days.

What's deleted

• Your sign-in (email address), your name, and your memberships in every tree.
• Any tree you choose to delete, with all its people, stories, photos and videos.
• Copies in our database backups disappear within eight weeks.

What stays

• What you added to a family tree you didn't own stays with that family, shown as "Former member". Ask the tree's owner to remove anything you'd like gone.
• Keepsake files you saved or sent are yours and theirs; Kinmap can't reach them.
